AMOS: Burden Lifted Up or "to carry"

I didn't know for whom this reading was, but usually I get clues from the actual reading. Amos is about injustice to the poor. In my particular experience there are two injustices that I'm experiencing. First, I havengottennmy inheritqnce when my dad died when I was 6 years old from my family in Cagayan, and my ex's Tuts' family for not letting me get my son and even see my son since we broke up a year ago.

The bible is many faceted and many tiered, so it could have referred to places in the past, national situations today, and my personal problems. I find them at the right time to help me understand its meaning.

November 10 reading:

Amos 5

1 Hear this word which I am lifting up against you,

a dirge, O house of Israel.

(Israel means one who fought with God. It refers to Mary Magdalene or myself. House means the family.)

2 The virgin of Israel has fallen, and will not arise again; she lies forsaken on her land; there is no one raising her up. (Virgin means "Miss" or unmarried Israel. Im currently poor and no one is helping me- well because Im expected to be responsible for my own self.)

3 For so says Adonai YAHWEH, The city that goes out by a thousand shall have a hundred left. And that which goes out by a hundred shall have ten left in the house of Israel2.

4 For so says YAHWEH to the house of Israel, Seek Me, and live.

5 But do not seek Bethel, and do not enter Gilgal, and do not cross over to Beer-Sheba; for Gilgal going shall go into exile, and Bethel shall be for nothing.

God is saying, Go to God and don't ask for help from other people or leave, because the one will go away, and the other will be nothing.

6 Seek YAHWEH, and live, that He not break out like a fire on the house of Joseph, and consume, and no one is putting it out for Bethel. (Bethel means house of God, so the fire will be in the house of God)

7 He abandoned those who turn justice and righteousness into wormwood on the earth.

(God won't help those who do not act fairly.)

8 He who created the Pleiades and Orion, (He is the God who is master of both the Pleiades, who is I, and Orion, who is the other: more on this later.)

and turns the deep darkness into the morning, and He darkened the day into night; who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the face of the earth, YAHWEH is His name;

(Job 9:9, Ex 3:15, Is 42:8,)

9 who flashes out with destruction on the strong; yea, destruction comes on the fortress.

(my Ex has a great wall in his house in San Juan, and that is the fortress. He is also 6'2 and works out always, so he is literally strong.

In my family, they have strong walls, they are strong politically in their place.)

10 They hate him who rebukes in the gate, and they despise him who speaks uprightly.

(I was at their gate to see my son and they didn't let me a couple of times. I am just telling the truth to my ex, and they hate me because I expose their sins. They also shunned us when I brought DSWD there so that I could see my baby.

In the case of my house, or family, they don't like that I tell them to do the right thing and have repeatedly told them to do right for me and others)

11 So, because of your trampling on the poor, and you take tribute of grain from him; you have built houses of hewn stones, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted desirable vineyards, but you shall not drink wine from them.

(I dont know how they take tribute of grain from me.. I guess I would have a share if it is fairly distributed?)

12 For I know your many transgressions, and your many sins: Distressing the just, taking of a bribe, and turning aside the poor in the gate.

(Only my ex turned me aside at the gate)

13 So the understanding ones shall keep silent in that time, for it is an evil time. (there are good people around you, but they just keep quiet and let the hatred of the hating people keep talking)

14 Seek good and not evil, that you may live; (See God always gives a chance!)

and so YAHWEH the Elohim of Hosts shall be with you, as

you have spoken.

(I know my house and family are religious, and my aunts speak of God, but it is more than that. It is doing justice to the poor.)

15 Hate evil, and love good, and

establish justice in the gate.

(For my ex it is letting me have my son, my baby whom I haven't seen in a year na! Justice at the gate is letting me see my baby.)

It may be

that YAHWEH the Elohim of Hosts

will be gracious to the remnant of

Joseph. (Joel 2:12-14)

16 So YAHWEH, the Elohim of

Hosts, YAHWEH, says this: Wailing

shall be in all streets, and they shall

say in all the highways, Alas! Alas! And

they shall call the farmer to the

mourning, and those knowing wailing

to lamentation.

This will happen it says: There will be crying of farmers in the highways and streets.

17 And wailing shall be in all

vineyards, for I will pass among you,

says YAHWEH.

(Remember when Yahweh passed among the Egyptians? There will be turmoil. :( )

18 Woe to those desiring the day of

YAHWEH! What is this for you? The

day of YAHWEH is darkness, and not

light.(Joel 2:2, Is 13:6-9, Rev 16:1-11)

19 It is as if a man fled before a lion,

and the bear met him. Or he goes into

the house and leans his hand against

the wall, and a snake bites him.

20 Shall not the day of YAHWEH be

darkness, and not light; even very

dark, and not any brightness in it?

21 I hate, I reject your feast days;

and I will not delight in your festive

Assemblies

God is not pleased with your assemblies and praying if you cannot do what is right.

22 Though you offer Me burnt

offerings and your grain offerings, I

will not be pleased; nor will I regard

the peace offerings of your fat animals.

23 Take away from Me the noise of

your songs; and I will not hear the

melody of your stringed instruments.

24 But let justice roll down like

waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing

stream.

25-27 ( Basically, it says did you bring sacrifices to Yahweh or did you lift up the shrine of your king, the pedestal of your idols, the star of your god/Molech? Therefore, you will go into exile says YAHWEH, the Elohim of hosts is his name.)

As I was cutting and pasting it on here, I saw that I had another entry on this in my journal, and it was this entry here:

Recently, I went to Tuts (dad of my son) house to bring Chocolates and talk about the custody of Peace (my baby) because I have a job now at Peugeot. What happened was that he literally stepped out and moved so that I would move away from Peace. Then he gripped my arms so I also gripped his shirt, and he lifted me up near the stairs so I protected myself and wrestled back. Then he dropped me, and I fell on my knees and got bruises. Now last night, my reading was AMOS.

AMOS talks about the house of Israel, one who fought with God, and how the houses were inlaid with Ivory, and how the men drunk would make up songs as if they were David (tito Art) and the wife would ask their husbands to get wine for them, and that they would be punished. The big house and the summer house (the one where Tita Rose lives in with her family).

Amos 5:6 "If you seek ADONAI, you will survive, otherwise he will break out against the house of Josef like fire, devouring Beit EL, with none to quench the flames. You who turn justice to bitter wormwood, and throw righteousness to the ground, (he threw me to the ground) he flashes destruction on the strong, so that destruction overcomes the fortress. They hate anyone promoting justice at the city gate (the DSWD workers at the gate) , they detest anyone who speaks the truth (when I said HE and Gabby were doing something).

Therefore because you trample on the poor and extort from them levies of grain, although you have built houses of cut stone you wont live in them, …For I know how numerous are your crimes and how outrageous are your sins- bullying the innocent, extorting ransoms, pushing the poor aside at the gate- Hate evil, love good and uphold justice at the gate, maybe adonai elohei tzvaot will take pity on the survivors.

Amos 3:10 They don’t know how to do right. They store up violence and robbery in their palaces. As a shepherd rescues, so the people in Israel in Shomron will be rescued, huddled under cushions in the corners of their beds. When I punish Israel's crimes I will also punish the altars of Beitel, the horns will be cut off, and fall to the ground. I will tear down the winter house as well as the summer house, Houses adorned with ivory will be destroyed. The mansions will be no more"

Amos 4- Listen lovely cows of Bashan, who oppress the poor and grind down the needy, who say to their husband, bring me something to drink, The lord has sworn, you will be dragged away with hooks, the last of you with fish hooks, leave through the breaks in the wall, and be sent away. Go here and commit crimes and there more crimes! Bring your sacrifices in the morning and after 3 days, your tithes, brag in public about your offerings, because that is what you love to do. .. All bad things and still you haven't returned to me. Now prepare to meet your God, Israel, him who forms the mountains and creates wind- Adonai Elohei Tzvaot-- Lord of hosts!

Who is God?:

Adonai Elohei Tzva'ot: Psalm 89.9 You rule over the swelling of the sea, You crushed Rahab like a slain one, You scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

This answer bears a lot of research. The one who crushed Rahab: Rahab is a sea serpent. In mythology a lot of sub-gods or sons of God crushed the sea serpent. Athena (wisdom), Hercules crushed Hydra, Krishna crushed a sea serpent also.. The oldest one is the Ugartic Bull crushing the Great serpent. (the great war between the Bull and the serpent..we will tackle this later)

Also.. Who is this God?

Hosea 12:5-6 Adonai Elohei Tzvaot, YHWH is his name. So you, wait on God, return chesed (love) and justice; and always put your hope in your God

This was the reading 2018.

So I guess this is means it is for the family of my ex. However, if you continue reading Amos, it also shows the destruction of the big house and the small house. Both my family in Cagayan, as well as my ex's family, have a big house and a small house.

My ex does not have farmers or grain, but my family in Cagayan does. I relate to them because I had told them before that they have to justice to me else there will be floods.. and a year ago there were floods and continue to be floods.

Because it seems to refer to both, I also asked, if this is for my Ex's family, is there anything else I must tell my family in Cagayan?

Isaiah 1:18

Come now, let us reason together, says Yahweh. Though your sins are scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land:

30 but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword. For the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.

Isaiah 1:12 To the rulers / leaders:

12 When you come to see My face,

who has required this at your hand, to

trample My courts?

13 Do not add to bringing vain

sacrifice; its incense is an abomination

to Me. The new moon and Sabbath,

the going to meeting, I cannot endure

the evil assembly.

14 My soul hates your new moons

and your appointed feasts. They are a

burden to Me. I am disgusted of

bearing them.

15 And when you spread out your

hands, I will hide My eyes from you.

Yea, when you multiply prayer, I will

not hear. Your hands are full of blood.2

16 Wash yourselves, purify

yourselves. Put away the evil of your

doings from My sight; stop doing evil.

17 Learn to do good, seek justice,

Rebuke the oppressor (Make straight the unjust one), judge (defend the cause of)

the orphan, contend for the widow.3

(I am orphan, My mom is a widow)

Then Ezekiel 48: division of the land of Israel (leave for Issachar) and the city will be called "The Lord is there"

In this case, this is God defending my cause as the orphan, and my mother as the widow, and my half sisters as the fatherless as well. In particular, my father has left some land for me, and I am asking my family to give it, and for our rulers and leaders to defend my cause, for I am poor, and orphaned. Yahweh is my judge.

Also, there will be a famine after, and on the 13th day of Adar, that will be the day of reckoning. (around Feb 2020) That would be the deadline if they and also my ex's family can do justice and do what is right.
