I got a strange reading, and since last time it was only 38 hours difference between me reading about a volcano and Taal spewing smoke, I thought I'd better publish things as quickly as possible.
Before, it would take years, but now, things are happening quickly.ז so here goes
“And here is what you are to tell this people: ‘ Adonai says: “Look! I am presenting you with the way of life and the way of death. Anyone who stays in this city will die by sword, famine and plague. But he who leaves and surrenders to the Kasdim besieging you will stay alive; his own life will be his only ‘spoils of war.’ For I have determined absolutely that this city will have evil, not good,” says Adonai . “It is going to be handed over to the king of Bavel, and he will burn it to the ground.”’ Yirmeyahu (Jer) 21:8-10 CJB https://bible.com/bible/1275/jer.21.8-10.CJB
This speaks of an invasion, and that if we stay in the city, it will be trouble. It is best to leave, and surrender to the Babylonians. (Any foreign entity I think) For the Lord determined harm for the city, but at least leaving will allow you to save your life.
For my family, the royal house of Judah, house of David
(Family of the Beloved)
“To the royal house of Y’hudah say: ‘Hear the word of Adonai ; house of David, this is what Adonai says:
“Judge fairly every morning,
rescue the wronged from their oppressors;
or my fury will lash out like fire,
burning so hot that no one can quench it,
because of how evil your actions are.”
Adonai says,
“I am against you, [Yerushalayim,] situated in a valley like a rock on a plain.
You who say, ‘Who can come down against us?
Who can enter our lairs?’ — I will punish you,”
says Adonai , “as your deeds deserve.
I will set its forest on fire, and it will devour everything around it.”’” Yirmeyahu (Jer) 21:11-14 CJB https://bible.com/bible/1275/jer.21.11-14.CJB
Judge fairly every morning: My uncle opens his doors to constituents to settle disputes and help any citizen. Now I am the one calling for justice. Who will judge fairly for me?
Apparently, God. Apparently my family is called to judge fairly between us siblings. I am an illegitimate daughter and I am entitled to my father's ingeritance. More than this, my father had left instructions with my uncle/s about me, and I don't know if there is even a last will or not.
God says in the bible:
Rescue the wronged from their oppressors.
In this case, justice is not served.
(This also, if I had a male counterpart, Judah or David, would also apply to the injustices that He has the power to rescue but do not.)
Any position of power comes with a divine responsibility, specially since justice is close to the heart of God. If anyone loves all men equally, then justice would be in their hearts too.
To enact justice takes courage. If anyone is afraid, know that God supports all who stand for justice. Moreover, in this specific instance, the stakes are a bit higher. As I've mentioned before, we are in danger of being a cursed land.
Not just my family, but really, the whole Philippines is called to be a holy people. In this instance, we might be tried, but the faithful will survive for the dawn of a new day of true justice.
