What if I'm Edom? Nah. This is why

Updated: Mar 18, 2020

I kept on getting Obadiah 1. I think 4 times more this week. At the same time, I moved my house to the mountains just before the lock down in Manila. That night, I was reading how Esau's line described his house to be in the clefts of rock, and was so high. Though God said, even if you are high, I will bring you down. Where we live, we are so high we can see the stars pretty clearly. I also feel very safe now.

So I started self reflecting, what if I was Esau? Was my heart proud? Did I ever do nothing as others took treasures? But it couldn't be me, but still I kept turning it over and over in my head. I did not want to be wiped out, so if I were Esau, now high in the cliffs, what did I do that was less than what God wanted?

I couldn't find a thought that would justify or explain it, and today, as I read the Bible, after my reading for the public, I got this which proves it is most definitely the family of the father of my sons (yay) and, maybe to a larger extent, the Edomites who now live in Jerusalem:

Jeremiah 49:7

Concerning Edom:

7 So says YAHWEH of Hosts

concerning Edom: Is wisdom no more

in Teman? Has counsel perished from

the prudent? Has their wisdom

vanished?

8 Flee, turn back, go deep to dwell, O

people of Dedan. For I will bring the

calamity of Esau on him in the time I

will visit him.

9 If the grape gatherers come to you,

would they not leave gleanings? If

thieves come by night, will they

destroy until they have enough?

10 But I have stripped Esau, I have

uncovered his secret places, and he

shall not be able to hide himself. His

seed is ravaged, also his brothers and

his neighbors, and he will be no more.

11 Leave your orphans, I will keep

them alive. And let your widows trust

in Me.

12 For so says YAHWEH: Behold,

those whose judgment was not to

drink of the cup, surely they have

drunk. And are you to be entirely

acquitted? You shall not be acquitted,

but surely you shall drink/drank. (Jer 25:15)

13 For I have sworn by Myself,

declares YAHWEH, that Bozrah shall

become a ruin, a reproach, a waste,

and a curse. And all its cities shall be

wastes forever. (Is 34:6)

14 I have heard a message from

YAHWEH, and a herald is sent to the

nations: Gather together and come

against her, and rise up to the battle.

15 For, behold, I will make you small

among the nations, despised among

men.

16 Your dreadfulness has deceived

you, the pride of your heart, you who

live in the clefts of the rock, who hold

the height of the hill. Though you

should make your nest as high as the

eagle, I will bring you down from

there, declares YAHWEH.

17 And Edom shall be a ruin,

everyone who goes by it shall be

amazed and shall hiss at all its

plagues.

18 As in the overthrow of Sodom and

Gomorrah, and its neighbor, declares

YAHWEH, no man shall remain there,

a son of man shall not live in it.

19 Behold, he shall come up like a

lion from the swelling of Jordan

against the home of the strong. But I

will suddenly make him run away

from it. And who is the chosen one I

shall appoint over it? For who is like

Me? And who will summon Me? And

who then is a shepherd who will stand

before Me?

20 So then, hear the counsel of

YAHWEH which He has planned

against Edom, and His purposes which

He has purposed against those living

in Teman: Surely they shall drag them,

the least of the flock. Surely He shall

make their dwellings desolate over

them.

21 The earth is shaken at the noise of

their fall. When they cried, the noise of

it was heard in the Red Sea.

22 Behold, he shall come up and fly

like the eagle and spread his wings

over Bozrah. And at that day the heart

of the mighty men of Edom shall be

like the heart of a woman being

distressed.

INTERPRETATION:

The dad has always been very cautious in his moves, and this prudence is wisdom. However, more than being cautious, wisdom is a turning away from evil.

His seed or sperm is spoiled, his relatives and neighbors and he will be no more.

I think the dad has always been conscious of thieves, God always mentions it regarding their family.

God however, will strip him, and uncover his secret hiding places. He won't be able to hide.

This is how I know it is not me: God says, 11 Leave your orphans, I will preserve them alive, and let your widows trust in me. (that would be me! I trust in God.)

God said he is not acquitted because he drank from the cup. (Babylon is the one with the cup, as in revelations, the cup of abominations.)

Bozrah: an enclosure. More specifically, the house of the dad of my kids is a compound and it feels impenetrable to me because my baby is inside and yet, I cannot get him.

And here, we pick up from where we left off last time. The pride of their heart is that they cannot be reached, because their house is secure.

Since this is also a reading for the world, as it usually is, my guess is there will be great destruction in the place of Edom in the world as well.

They will be amazed and shall hiss at all its plagues. The overthrow will be like Sodom and Gomorrah, no man shall live there.

Who is appointed over Edom? It is he who is like God. He is a shepherd, much like David who is chosen. (Ezekiel 34) Specifically related to the chosen branch and shepherd (Jeremiah 23)

"Surely they shall drag them, the least of the flock" I think might be a reference to Zechariah 11: Woe to the worthless shepherd. I have another strong of readings for that, which I will include later.

In the worldly sense, these people will cry out and perhaps with an earthquake as well, the one chosen will fly over them as an eagle over Bozrah.

Then, the heart of the "Strong" men, like the dad, will be like the heart of a woman being distressed.

With a loud sigh of relief, I am not Edom.

Unfortunately, in the world sense, I do not know who Edom is, as the tribes are greatly dispersed, but I think the clue is the lands that are divided in the past reading related to this:

Obadiah 1.

It shows the territories exactly to be affected by this.

Obadiah 1

"19Those from the Negev will possess the mountains of Esau;

those from the foothillsd will possess the land of the Philistines.

They will occupy the fields of Ephraim and Samaria,

and Benjamin will possess Gilead.

20And the exiles of this host of the Israelites

will possess the land of the Canaanites as far as Zarephath;

and the exiles from Jerusalem who are in Sepharad

will possess the cities of the Negev."

Also, it gives us a clue who is like God, and who is the one who is chosen to destroy Edom: it is Jacob. He is specifically mentioned here in Obadiah 1:

But on Mount Zion there will be deliverance,

and it will be holy,

and the house of Jacob

will reclaim their possession.

18Then the house of Jacob will be a blazing fire,

and the house of Joseph a burning flame;

but the house of Esau will be stubble—

Jacob will set it ablaze and consume it.

But here in Ezekiel 34:24

24 I, Yahweh, will be their God, and My servant David will be a prince among them. I, YAHWEH, have spoken.

In one, the destroyer is Jacob, in another, the shepherdwho owns Zion is David.

In Jeremiah 23

Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: "Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done," declares the LORD.3 "I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number.4 I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing," declares the LORD.5 "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will raise up to David [1] a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.6 In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness.

In this specific case, the Lord says, I myself will gatther the remnants out of the countries.

So David, Jacob, and the rightoeus branch, the Lord our Righteousness, are mentioned.

Only here though is it mentioned that God will raise up to David a King. He mentions them both as shepherds of the people.

This is the new person whom God has chosen, and I will talk more of this in the previous reading I got. This was just the confirmation of that , which I did not put out because it was too much about my personal life. However, I am beginning to see that the readings are inexorably connected to my personal situation just as much as the national one.

A clue to what is to come:

Jacob have I loved, but Esau, hated.

The full punishment of Esau

1 And the Word of YAHWEH was to

me, saying,

2 Son of man, set your face against

Mount Seir1, (hair) and prophesy against it.

3 And say to it, So says Adonai

YAHWEH: Behold, I am against you,

Mount Seir, and I will stretch My hand

against you, and I will make you a ruin

and a waste.

4 I will lay your cities waste, and you

shall be a ruin. And they shall know

that I am YAHWEH.

5 Because there was to you neverending

hatred,

(they hated me when I gave him only love)

and you poured out the

sons of Israel to the hands of the

sword in the time of their calamity, in

the time of the iniquity of the end.

6 Therefore, As I live, declares

Adonai YAHWEH, surely for blood I

appoint you, and blood shall pursue

you. Since you have not hated blood,

so blood shall pursue you.

(I specifically hate blood)

7 And I will make Mount Seir a ruin

and a waste, and cut off from it the one

passing through, and the one

returning.

8 And I will fill his mountains with

his slain. In your hills and in your

valleys, and in all your torrents, the

slain by the sword shall fall in them.

9 I will make you ruins forever, and

your cities shall not be inhabited. And

you shall know that I am YAHWEH.

10 Because you have said, These two

nations and these two lands will be

mine, and we shall possess it (yet

YAHWEH was there)

I think this refers to our two kids whom he wanted to take away., even if I am here. Also, maybe someone wants to get my land?

11 Therefore, As I live, declares

Adonai YAHWEH, I will act by your

anger, and by envy which you have

done out of your hatred against them,

and I will be known among them when

I have judged you.

Honestly, I personally do forgive all the hurt, I even wote a letter about to him about it. However, it seems God is more adamant about getting me justice. I think it was because I was there when everyone was against Jesus, and I loved and protected him. Now that he sits at the hand of the father, Yahweh, Yahweh protects me like the pupil of his eye.

Very little people know that Jesus is coming back, that Yahweh will reign. So please spread the message. Peace :)
